GU 1-36 and Jim Rivers!!

Global Underground series remain stead fast as a compilation powerhouse. With their GU 1-36 (insert Location here), and insert top quality DJ series being the main force they also have GU mixed compilations. In actual fact they have so many compilations you could easily be led to believe that quality could fade………..But you would be wrong. GU may have a quantity of releases but there is never a sacrifice on quality.  But enough hype about GU and back to the actual CD.

GU Mixed 4 is 3 CDs with more than enough to please most electronic musical tastes, the first CD is taking the lead with the main room house sound that is prominent at the moment, taking the better parts of electro house and tech house which fills the room with audio delight.

Disc 2 takes a darker more progressive and tech edged approach. Beginning with the eerie vocals from a new DJ Hell release, and the sonic flexing with Joris Voorn’s remix of SLAM – ghost song bringing us to Jay Lumen’s – Heureka! Which winds and builds through the session. But you probable get the idea now.

That leaves us with the 3rd disc which brings back the classics. Enticing you into the mix with progressive, techno and house, what better way to end the compilation than with something familiar. Try it out on your preferred form of audio listening device.

While we are on the Subject of GU and their fantastic releases The Nubreed series is back from a break of 7 years! And what better to “resurrect” than with rising Brit star Jim Rivers. He has gained a worldwide reputation for his glitch, groovy electronic sound and an international schedule that will see him return to countless venues across the globe.  Jim has also included some of his own production on both discs but the second disc includes some releases that come from his own Label Misfit Records.
